10 Things WWE Got Horribly Wrong In 2015

10. The Miz & Mizdow Break Up

This most likely wasn't even supposed to reach the heights that it did, but Damien Sandow took the turd sandwich he was given creatively and turned it into gold. After failing to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase against John Cena in 2013 he went on the good old losing streak gimmick, a booking decision that has led to approximately zero people getting over in the history of professional wrestling. This soon became a gimmick where he imitated people on a weekly basis, usually for a comedy spot that would lead to Sandow getting laid out by whoever he happened to be impersonating. Somehow, all of this brought him to The Miz, who was in need of a stunt double. Sandow was a revelation. He acted more as a Miz-mime than a stunt double, but his antics outside of the ring during matches became one of the highlights of the show. Miz revelled in the role too, treating Sandow (by then known as Mizdow) worse and worse. As WrestleMania came around the duo were at breaking people. Sandow was surely going to get revenge and break out on his own once again. The crowd wanted it, the story was told well and the finish was going to make sense. What happened at WrestleMania was what should have happened. Sandow eliminated Miz from the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, and a glorious face turn was achieved. What happened next was utterly baffling. Sandow continued to the imitation gimmick, and eventually lost to The Miz for the rights to the personality. After a brief run impersonating Randy Savage, Sandow has been nowhere to be seen. After spending months on the story and achieving the obvious conclusion, WWE somehow still managed to botch Damien Sandow. They could have created a fresh midcard babyface. Instead, they created a big ball of nothing.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
