He has to be turning heel, right? Surely that is the only direction this story is headed in? The fallen challenger was interviewed following the match, giving the crowd one more chance to shower Jason Jordan with mildly interested boos.

Jordan’s athleticism and in-ring abilities have never been questioned. The man is an elite athlete who is as crisp as they come. His personality has never been his strong point however, and it took the weird charisma of Chad Gable to get Jordan over in NXT. Awkward post-match interviews are a sure-fire way to sabotage Jordan’s babyface run.

This was awkward to watch. The crowd didn’t care, and it simply made Jordan look like a sore loser. Booker T was particularly scathing of Angle’s son, telling JJ to "get to the back of the line" to end the segment.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
