10 Things WWE Must Do This Summer

The next few months for Kevin Owens could be critical.

Despite the weather heating up, WWE's product is cooling down considerably. The ratings have eroded significantly since WrestleMania. Even with the return of Brock Lesnar, the biggest draw in the company back in the fold, people are tuning out. Maybe it's because fans want to be outside and enjoy some time off, or maybe they're bored with the direction the company has taken. Can you blame them? With five hours of TV to fill every week, and a span of three pay-per-views in six weeks, WWE is a bloated, beached whale. Many fans are watching more out of habit than pure enjoyment, others are simply leaving. Perhaps they'll return in the fall, or maybe they're gone for good. It's a wake-up call, but luckily there's some things they can still do to turn the tides. No matter how bad things get, a hot angle can be just around the corner to get fans buzzing. Recall back to the dreadful product in 2010, and in one night The Nexus storyline not just made Raw bearable, but turned it into must see television. To get fans excited again, WWE has their work cut out for them. By the time the kids go back to school, and the air turns colder, they need to give the audience a reason to tune in and get invested again. Here are 10 things that WWE must do this summer.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
