10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Chris Benoit

Remember when WWE dedicated a 3 hour Raw to Benoit? Just forget it like WWE does.

The name Chris Benoit immediately brings up negative feelings among wrestling fans because of the double murder he committed in June of 2007. He killed his wife Nancy, his son Daniel and then himself in his own home. It was shocking and is the biggest dark cloud that hangs over World Wrestling Entertainment. If you have been reading our "things WWE wants you to forget" series all year long then you know that often times something Benoit related pops up for the wrestler or subject that is being written about. In this case, we're looking at Benoit related items only. It would be easy to just put "everything" in terms of things that WWE wants us to forget about him, but that's not what this is. Instead, it will look at specific examples of Benoit related things that WWE goes out of their way to avoid as best they can. This isn't being done to sensationalize Benoit or anything of that nature. It's just a way to cover some wrestling history and it's a subject that is very painful to write about even seven years after the double murder suicide he committed. Benoit was one of my favorite wrestlers ever. After the incident, I watched wrestling less for a few months because it was hard to just forget what happened and move on. Eventually I came back to it, but it was tough. While there are dozens of things WWE wants us to forget about Chris Benoit, here are ten of the more important ones from his time in WWE from early 2000 right up until his death in 2007 and the aftermath that followed.
