10 Things You Can Get Fined For In WWE

9. Chair Shots To The Head

Much like blading, chair shots to the head are another once-commonplace act that’re now been outlawed by the company.

Here, the ban had more to do with protecting wrestlers’ brains than preserving the company’s public image, although the cynics may argue that those two things are actually fairly closely linked. Either way, it’s another offence now deemed a fineable one, with some of the company’s very biggest names falling foul to the long arm of the law.

In 2013, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan were punished when the former caught the latter with a chair shot to the head after an attempted tope to the outside. And two years prior, both The Undertaker and Triple H—the latter being the Senior Vice President of Talent Development at the time—were fined for crocking each other over the head with chairs during their WrestleMania XXVII meeting.

There was no word of the actual value of the fine, but given the standing of both men within the company, they were likely well aware that their actions were going to land them in hot water. Clearly, it was worth the risk though.
