9. Celebrity Involvement
Bash At The Beach was no stranger to featuring outside involvement from mainstream celebrities to draw more attention to the shows.
The first instalment of the franchise featured appearances from Mr T and Shaquille O'Neal as they celebrated with Hulk Hogan following his championship victory in the main event, with the former also getting involved in the bout to prevent interference from Sensuous Sherri.
In later years, the likes of Mills Lane, Dennis Rodman, and Karl Malone also appeared at the summer show. Rodman and Malone would even wrestle for WCW during their time with the company - Dennis teamed with Hollywood Hogan in both 1997 and 1998, facing Lex Luger and The Giant, and Malone and Diamond Dallas Page respectively.
The inclusion of these familiar faces made the events feel that extra bit more important. If a non-wrestling fan saw the former basketball personalities signed for the main event, then they'd perhaps tune in to see how they coped when swapping their jerseys for wrestling singlets.
