10 Things You Didn't Know About Booker T

Just how close did Booker T come to joining WWF in 1998?

One of the most popular stars from the dying days of World Championship Wrestling, Booker T is one wrestler that many fans feel should have been pushed earlier. Instead, Booker was often used more as a tag-team wrestler, right up until he broke out as a singles star in 1998. From there, the man would go on to experience great success, eventually moving over to the WWF/WWE in 2001. Despite a shaky start (who will ever forget that match against Buff Bagwell on Monday Night Raw?), the man quickly slotted into the WWE system nicely, going on to have even more prosperity whilst under contract to Vince McMahon's promotion. Growing up in Houston, Texas, Booker became accustomed to having to physically defend himself, and would eventually see his rough lifestyle get him in trouble. Being jailed for aggravated, armed robbery, the future WWE Hall Of Fame inductee would serve a few years in prison, and often talks to young people nowadays about making smart choices, even in tough circumstances. Booker T has had a decorated career, but there are some little known facts about the man that make for interesting reading. This list brings together some of the best, only deepening the intriguing plot that is Booker Huffman's career.
