10 Things You’ll Never See In WWE Again

10. Blading

Brock Lesnar The Undertaker
WWE

Lose yourself in the vast expanses of the WWE Network and you're bound to recoil in horror at least once upon seeing the buckets of blood spilled in the name of entertainment. Matches like JBL vs. Eddie Guerrero at Judgment Day 2004 and The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar at No Mercy 2002 are sadistic, blood-stained feasts of gore.

It's...jarring to watch in an era where intentional bloodletting has been outlawed.

Blading was always risky. It's hard to believe that strict blood testing was carried out during some of wrestling's most grisly moments, and that's not a pleasing thought. On top of that, the concept of WWE performers slicing their own flesh to add excitement to matches every week seems primitive (if not shockingly irresponsible) in 2019.

Blood neither fits WWE's corporate, PG profile nor suits the safer environment the McMahon family have tried to build. Don't expect to see the blade make a comeback any time soon. In fact, don't expect to see it ever again.
