10 Times WWE Stars Went Corporate

Some big names from past and present have "sold out" to get ahead in their careers.

The current main heel stable in WWE is named The Authority led by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They recently celebrated one year as WWE's top heels although they're not a traditional group. They have people that are associated with them like Randy Orton, Kane and Seth Rollins, but it's not like the group hangs out all the time. Still, they're a dominant force in WWE and a reminder of how effective heels in authority can really be. When a wrestler "goes corporate" it's another way of saying that person turned their back on the fans to align themselves with some authority figure. We've seen it happen so many times over the years although it really stands out when there was a dominant heel faction like The Corporation in the late 1990s. The Corporation was a Vince McMahon-led group that featured his son son and a number of wrestlers that went to the dark side to join up with the group. At one point in the spring of 1999 they even combined The Corporation with the Ministry of Darkness to form a super group although by that point the group had far too many members in it. Here's a look at ten times where wrestlers went from being fan favorites to people that ended up hated by the fans because they "sold out" to the powers that be.
