10 Triple H Orchestrated Championship Screwjobs

9. Kevin Nash – Judgment Day 2003

Three years after swindling Jericho, Triple H pulled off another screwjob that once again involved referee Earl Hebner, this time with Kevin Nash the fall guy at Judgment Day 2003.

Triple H had actually ended that night rather worse for wear, after losing to Nash and being powerbombed through the announce table in the aftermath. However, he was still the World Heavyweight Champion because the loss had come via disqualification – and a very deliberate one, at that.

After shoving Hebner early doors, much like in April of 2000, Triple H caught the referee for a second time after Nash had ducked a clothesline. Already treading a fine line, the champ then flagrantly leapt across that line when he seized a sledgehammer from under the ring and, after Hebner prevented him from waffling Nash, struck the senior official with a blow to the chest for his troubles.

Despite dominating most the match, Nash was screwed out of the world title thanks to Triple H’s exploitation of the “champion’s advantage” loophole.
