There's no point denying it, the first few months of Samoa Joe's long-anticipated WWE career has been nothing short of lackluster. While yes, WWE has been initially underwhelming for the likes of Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and numerous others who went on to significant stardom in WWE, Joe's a performer who in having the "once in a generation" tag attached to his name is falling well short of that renown. However, all is not lost. For as much as Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero were both saddled with Chyna for a spell, Joe wrestling Baron Corbin at NXT's major Brooklyn event may only be a bump in the road in what could be a prosperous WWE career-to-come. Similar to the aforementioned legendary two-some, Joe's WWE success may be linked to a) how quickly he adapts his character to WWE's desire to get a performer to fit into their system and b) how he can fit his unique skillset into said system. Given that Joe's a 16-year veteran, one can presume that he will succeed.
