10 Ways WWE Can Get More From Dean Ambrose

No more potted plants! It's time to ditch the comedy and get serious...

When Dean Ambrose lost by disqualification to newcomer Elias Sampson on Raw recently, it hit home just how far his stock has fallen in WWE. This is a guy who was once part of The Shield - one of the most exciting groups to hit the scene in years. Hell, he was WWE Champion just last Summer and positioned as SmackDown's top Draft pick.

Things have changed, and Ambrose's character requires major surgery if he's ever getting near the top of cards again. There's a very real risk that Dean could become a mid-carder for life when he's clearly capable of much more.

Alas, there is light at the end of the tunnel, because Ambrose still has a lot to offer - if WWE allows him. He's only 31 years old, has a style unlike most others on the roster, and could be so much better if the shackles are taken off.

Only then will WWE get more from a guy they're seriously undermining...

10. Quit The 50/50 Booking That's Holding Him Back

In the past year, Dean Ambrose has been both the Intercontinental and WWE Champion. It's just a shame that neither reign has been vindicated with great booking, especially the latter. Even when he was positioned as SmackDown's top Draft pick and holder of WWE's most prestigious title, Ambrose looked like a temporary champion punching above his weight.

WWE must quit this 50/50 booking style that has undermined Dean horribly, otherwise his career will continue to trundle along without any sign of progression. As an example, cast your mind back to WrestleMania 32 when Ambrose was made to look like a glorified jobber for Brock Lesnar on WWE's biggest show. Months later, fans were expected to embrace him as a credible champion.

This apparent need to take one step forward and several back has continued with the Intercontinental gold, too. Now more than ever, Dean Ambrose needs the creative team to get behind him and launch a winning streak that rewards his effort.
