10 WCW Stars Who Would Have Won Money In The Bank

What if WCW had been the ones to introduce the much-loved Money in the Bank match?

Hold on to your hats folks - it's Money in the Bank time once again.

On Sunday night, 11 of WWE's finest (six men and five women) will do battle in the latest two instalments of the much-loved ladder match. Ever since its inception in early 2005, the Money in the Bank ladder match has become one of the most anticipated bouts on the WWE calendar - but what would have happened if WCW used the concept instead?

This is all fantasy of course. WCW wasn't exactly fond of the ladder match concept - the promotion only booked 11 in its history. Of those 11, one involved the competitors trying to grasp a ceramic duck hung above the ring. Needless to say, ladder match enthusiasts will find little joy in WCW's ladder history.

We all love a bit of fantasy booking, however. If WCW had introduced the Money in the Bank ladder match, who would have claimed the briefcase over the years? Who should have? Who would have fallen short on multiple occasions? How many nWo winners would there have been?

Get your fantasy booking pencils at the ready, folks.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
