10 Weakest WWE Return Pops Ever

9. Carlito

Perhaps the lack of response to Carlito's WWE return in November 2009 shouldn't be a huge surprise. The Puerto Rican had only been gone from television for a couple of months, and wasn't exactly flying high at his time of departure, having just left a forgettable alliance with Rosa Mendes. Still, he walked into a heated situation and completely sucked the life out of the building, all thanks to a terrible pop.

John Cena was WWE Champion at the time. He'd been thrown through a table by Sheamus one week prior, and was set to face the Irishman at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view. Cena hit the ring full of thunder, ready to tear Sheamus apart: he called him out, but got Carlito instead of his number one contender.

The former Intercontinental Champion got nothing from the crowd, even as he ran though his trademark routine by spitting a mouthful of apple in the champ's face. Seconds later, Carlito was laid out with an Attitude Adjustment, and he was pinned clean by Cena the following week. His comeback had made a terrible start, and things didn't get much better, as he was eventually released the following May.
