10 Weird WWE Pairings That Turned Out Surprisingly Well

10 teams that worked better than anyone could have ever imagined.

Teams, partnerships and romances are an integral part of WWE's programming and storytelling; so much so that there's a dedicated division and championship. Interactions between characters is essential, and having characters align themselves with each other allows those characters to explore new storylines, and to discover different aspects of their personas that they might not have done as a singles star. The majority of the time, pairings are made because they have a natural fit. Teams come together because they have matching personalities or in-ring styles; or perhaps they have a common cause, a friendship, or familial bond. Sometimes though, pairings are made that seem a little weird. Two characters are sometimes thrown together despite the fact that they've had no interaction before, have contrasting personalities and on occasion, have even previously been rivals. Under these circumstances they by all rights shouldn't work - but as is the case with these ten pairings, they by chance and the dedication of the people involved, stumble across a unique and strangely successful chemistry that worked out better than anyone could have anticipated.
