10 Wild Predictions For Kurt Angle’s Big Secret

9. A Relationship With Stephanie McMahon

If Kurt hasn't attempted to relight an old flame with TNA's former authority figure, he may have perhaps made inroads with another former crush.

The mid-2000 Stephanie McMahon/Kurt Angle/Triple H love triangle was perhaps the most absorbing issue during a time many consider to be the company's most creatively satisfying. Lingering glances shot across screens for months each time Angle and Stephanie stole moments in corridors, and Triple H's eventual acknowledgment of the chemistry drew the audience in to such an extent that 'The Game' was organically turned babyface.

Unfortunately, the storyline never received the payoff it deserved. Hunter defeated Kurt with Stephanie's reluctant help at September's Unforgiven pay-per-view not long before Triple H was shunted back to his antagonist role against Steve Austin following Rikishi's quiet failure in the role.

The air left the balloon completely when a 'business relationship' was agreed upon between Stephanie and Angle, but occasional teases were inserted for years that implied a spark may not have been fully extinguished. The prospect of a secret liaison between the pair now would blow WWE's on-screen corporate structure wide open, and sever ties between Triple H and Stephanie for the first time since their 2002 storyline divorce.

Natural foes, a match with an enraged 'King of Kings' would offer Angle one of the safest possible in-ring returns as the company considers his careful reintroduction to physical competition.
