10 Worst-Booked WWE Stars EVER
9. Bayley
"I don't get it," per Bruce Prichard, is a peak Vince McMahonism. The WWE CEO usually snarls these words when confronted with a character that isn't a tall, muscled cartoon character, and typically, once he "gets" one characteristic of an act, that characteristic is amplified to an hysterical and often lamentable extent. Hence why Bayley - who ignited NXT in her annus mirabilis of 2015 - is positioned on RAW as an actual child.
Upon winning the RAW Women's Title, a good two months removed from the stage on which she should have won it, the pure-at-heart act somehow contrived to annoy fans by refusing to acknowledge that she had done so in a less-than-pure manner. The innocent fiery babyface had devolved into a petulant child. WWE literally spoiled her. In the months since, Bayley faded in relevance and, heartbreakingly, in confidence. She refused to enter the spirit of her Kendo Stick On A Pole bout with Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules '17, coating the stick in sap. This weird booking decision annihilated her never-give-up aura, since she literally refused to participate. "Participate" is all Bayley does now; she is there to make up the numbers on a RAW Women's roster low on them.
There is hope for Bayley yet - but she fell from a height Shane McMahon would be proud of.
