Failure, thy name is Roman Reigns.

2016 has been a mixed bag for WWE. For the past few months, the product has been on an upswing - the so-called "New Era" that's emerged since WrestleMania has made their television output more entertaining and has led to some amazing pay-per-view matches.

Performers like AJ Styles and Sami Zayn have only been on WWE's main roster for a few months, but they've proven invaluable to the product.

On the other hand, 2016 has seen some of the most head-shakingly bad booking to come from WWE in years - and that says a lot.

The Roman Reigns experiment entered its third calendar year, with no signs of finally achieving success. If anything, the WWE Universe has actually rejected Reigns more strongly than ever before, making the company's main event scene particularly frustrating and unsure.

The Reigns business is only the tip of the iceberg, though. As much as the wrestlers on WWE's roster have been setting new standards for in-ring competition in the promotion, the creative team (spurred on by the edict of Vince McMahon and the rest of the company's leadership) has still been making fans turn off their TVs in frustration.

As we reach the year's midway point, here are the 10 worst decisions WWE has made in 2016 (so far)...

10. Aligning The Usos With Roman Reigns

For the past several years, The Usos have been a staple of WWE's tag team division. Their matches against teams like The Shield, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, and The New Day have been uniformly exciting, often stealing the show. As a result, Jimmy and Jey had gotten over as strong midcard babyfaces.

WWE decided to sacrifice their popularity earlier this year in an attempt to put Roman Reigns over. Though the on-screen association between Reigns and his cousins actually began last year, it was amped up in 2016, with the group forming a trio called "The Bloodline". The Usos had Reigns's back during his feud with AJ Styles and The Club, leading to six-man matches between the two groups.

Needless to say, putting The Usos in Reigns's corner didn't endear them to the fans, nor did positioning them against AJ Styles. Even though Reigns and The Usos haven't been wrestling together for the past several weeks, the damage is done - the two-time WWE Tag Team Champions have fallen out of the fans' favor and down the card.
