10 Worst Post-WrestleMania WWE Hangovers

The WWE's worst springtime slumps.

WrestleMania 31 surpassed all expectations and delivered an undoubtedly great show, but already the WWE are showing signs of a return to their uninspiring form. The card of the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV looks to be a decidedly underwhelming one, with matches failing to capture the fans' imagination after a world of new possibilities seemed to be in store. Unfortunately, this is nothing new for the WWE. All too often the company's booking has tailed off after the biggest show of the year, with post-'Mania storylines often appearing to have been written on autopilot. Here are ten of the most disappointing WrestleMania hangovers, periods in which the expectations of fans are fallen well short of. Sometimes they are fought off in time for the next 'Mania, while others act as the starting point for an immeasurably damaging lull - often when the company seemed on the verge of another grand era of success. Let's hope the aftermath of WrestleMania 31 escapes a similar fate...
