For every great gimmick match we enjoy in professional wrestling such as the Hell in a Cell match, Elimination Chamber or a TLC match, there are double the amount of awful ideas for stipulation matches which somehow made it out of a creative meeting, into the ring and in front of a live audience. Gimmick matches are created for a variety of reasons; sometimes to enhance an individuals character, to play into a particular storyline or to boost ratings and spice things up a bit.
