10 Worst WWE Royal Rumble Matches Ever

The most fun match of the year or a battle royal with a buzzer?

When you think of WWE and the most exciting matches in the modern era of Vince McMahon's company, the Royal Rumble match is right at the top of the list. While WrestleMania may be the biggest event of the year, the Royal Rumble match itself is the most talked about and the most anticipated match on the WWE's calendar for a good many fans. In the illustrious history of the event, the match has helped create stars, cement legacies and given us incredible moments that we'll remember forever. However, some of the Rumble matches sadly aren't as fondly remembered. Whether it's due to the choice of winner, the pacing and structure of the match, a lack of star power or a variety of other reasons, there have been a few Royal Rumble matches that fans won't be clamouring to revisit on the WWE Network. After a day of binge-watching Royal Rumble matches on Michael Cole's favourite streaming device, I've managed to come up with the 10 Worst Royal Rumble matches ever. While the beauty of the match is that even the bad ones are still fun to watch most of the time, there's no denying that these were let-downs or, at worst, minor catastrophes. Pick a number and join me as I look into what made them so bad.
