To say the Internet backlash against Nikki Bella has been strong would be an understatement the size of her massive...ego. Fans were quick to credit her history-making reign as WWE Divas champion to her off-screen relationship with John Cena and her status as the centrepiece of WWE's "Total Divas" reality show. Still, her harshest critics focused on her sexual circle, blaming political power plays by Cena and a vendetta against CM Punk for Nikki surpassing AJ Lee as the longest reigning champion in Divas title history. Some hyperbolic fans even proclaimed the twin to be the worst Divas Champion ever. One dive into the long and illustrious history of World Wrestling Entertainment suggests otherwise. The lineage of both the Divas and Women's Championships features competitors who really had no business whatsoever holding gold. Others were but footnotes in the history books.
