10 Wrestlemania Main Events That Were Completely Upstaged

9. WrestleMania VIII - Hulk Hogan Vs. Sid Justice Upstaged By Bret Hart Vs. Roddy Piper & Randy Savage Vs. Ric Flair

WrestleMania VII was billed as a double main event with the Savage/Flair championship match and the Hogan/Sid Justice match getting the main event billings. Hogan and Sid closed the night, but because neither was a particularly great worker, the match certainly had the chance to be completely upstaged, and with three of the best workers of all time in two earlier matches, that€™s exactly what happened. Bret Hart dragged Roddy Piper to the best match of his career in the Intercontinental Championship match, and the storyline of Ric Flair claiming that Miss Elizabeth was his before Randy€™s added drama to the WWF Championship match that the Hogan/Sid match couldn€™t catch up to. Both Hart/Piper and Savage/Flair were up there for WWF Match of the Year for 1992. Sid/Hogan was known more for the return of the Ultimate Warrior after the match than anything else.
