10 Wrestlers Who Sacrificed The Most To Become WWE Champion

From broken freakin' necks to back surgeries, it's amazing how tough some WWE legends are.

Professional wrestlers put their bodies on the line every single time they step into the ring. They put their trust in their opponents to make sure that nothing bad happens and nobody gets hurt. Sometimes, though, injuries do occur and they can significantly change a wrestler's life. There are some people who have been able to overcome those injuries or other setbacks in their life to reach the top of WWE and win their WWE or World Title. Others never get that chance because maybe they weren't good enough to get there or perhaps Vince McMahon thinks that person is injury prone, so they might go in another direction. A lot of wrestlers have had to overcome hardships to get to the top of WWE, but there are also some that were pushed pretty hard when they were young like The Rock, Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton. They all had to deal with things in their career. It's just that in those cases they were able to avoid those major injuries unlike those guys that will be mentioned in this feature. Every wrestler sacrifices because they put their bodies on the line to entertain us. Two months ago, Tyson Kidd nearly became paralyzed while on the receiving end of a Muscle Buster by Samoa Joe, which is a reminder of how dangerous wrestling can be even for guys as experienced as them. Here's a look at ten guys who sacrificed a lot whether it was physical, mental or something else entirely to get to the top of their profession.
