10 Wrestlers Who Were More Successful After Their Time In WWE

'Future endeavours' doesn't have to mean the scrap-heap.

When your average person on the street talks about wrestling, they mean WWE. If you were to sit them down and try and explain that there were actually a hundred different companies selling a hundred different products - from the foul-mouthed ICW to the over-the-top and ridiculous Lucha Underground - they would probably look at you blankly.

To them, the land that Hogan and Austin built is the only game in town and they are unlikely to have heard of anyone plying their trade elsewhere. However, that perception is slowly beginning to change.

In the last few years, independent wrestling has hit a bit of a boom. More and more companies are selling out their shows and websites like Pro Wrestling Tees are helping stars to make the kind of money that indie wrestlers could only have dreamed of a few years ago.

It is becoming increasingly common for wrestlers to make their name after their time on the big show. You no longer need to be a WWE Superstar to make an impact. Suddenly, being future endeavoured from WWE doesn't equal the end. It could well be the beginning.

10. Bram

When you get right down to it, Bram's biggest problem has nothing to do with his ability in the ring and everything to do with his conduct outside of it. An original member of The Ascension, his time with WWE was cut short after legal issues. Since then he has found his way to TNA where the big Brit has gone about establishing himself as the mad man of their roster.

There he has slowly but surely begun to find his feet, crafting his heel persona in feuds with the likes of Matt Morgan and forming a tag team with Eric Young. Outside of TNA he has popped up in Scotland's ICW, joining the heel stable The 55 and getting involved in that old wrestling tradition of interrupting weddings to piledrive the bride through the cake...you know that one, yeah?

Bram has a lot of things going for him but every time he seems to get a run of steam personal issues get in the way. If he can get his head down and work hard, then there is every chance he could be a star for years to come in both TNA and other independent promotions. As things stand, he is heading in the right direction.
