10 Wrestlers WWE Made You Hate (Thanks To Awful Booking)
9. Jinder Mahal
When critics bemoan the lack of surprises in modern wrestling, this isn't the kind of solution they're looking for.
Jinder Mahal came out of nowhere to become WWE Champion a couple of months ago. A career-long enhancement talent, he was plucked from the lower card and thrust into the spotlight with precisely zero build, making his elevation one of the most jarring in WWE history, and immediately raising his notoriety among the fanbase.
Jinder's push is a cynical move designed to pop the untapped Indian wrestling market, but while he has started drawing genuine heel heat from some portions of the audience, others just don't want to see him. This is perfectly understandable, as there's a clear gulf in skill between Mahal and the average WWE main eventer, but it's hardly his fault either.
'The Modern Day Maharaja' is a mediocre wrestler and an unengaging talker, though he generally does a good job presenting himself as a star. He was totally fine in his previous role, but he isn't cut out for the spotlight, and has been greatly exposed over the past few months. This is the source of the antipathy surrounding him, not effective heel work.
