Wrestling fans all have their favorite matches, bouts that were so exciting, so captivating and thrilling, that they'll never be forgotten. Unfortunately, for every five-star classic, there seems to be a boatload of matches that we just have to get through. Even as the overall quality of wrestling has become better as grapplers have gotten more athletic, there are still "methodical" workers who can kill a crowd with ease.

Sometimes, when things get really bad, fans are left with no recourse but to express themselves. For those occasions, the "Boring!" chant was developed. Usually used when an under-skilled heel spends too long getting the heat on his babyface opponent (think long chinlocks from Kane or Randy Orton), it manages to simultaneously be both disrespectful to the wrestlers and infuriating to management - they say there's no such thing as a bad reaction, but a "Boring!" chant has to be the exception.

Today, WWE has the strongest roster it's ever had, but even so, not every match can feature some combination of AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. Sometime Sheamus has to wrestle, and that's when "Boring!" gets its time in the spotlight.
