Big Cass is reportedly in some big trouble.

That comedy skit Cass worked with a little person pre-Backlash was designed to paint him as a bully-boy heel who would soon get some comeuppance. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the segment was supposed to end after Cass hit the phony Bryan with a big boot. He disagreed with that though and ended up going against Vince McMahon's orders.

Cass kept the beating going by raining down some punches on mini-Bryan. When he returned backstage, WWE officials (and, more importantly, McMahon himself) were far form happy with him. They were furious he'd gone into business for himself when plans were to get the big boot over.

Perhaps that's the reason why Cass lost cleanly by submission to Bryan at Backlash and then missed this week's episode of SmackDown. It'd make sense if McMahon was angry at him for refusing to cooperate with his plans.
