10. Daniel Bryan Had Been Pitching A Heel Turn For Months

First up, it's that newborn baddie Daniel Bryan.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer told how Bryan had been bending Vince McMahon's ear for months about turning heel. Initially, the boss was hesitant, and who can blame him? Since launching his emotional comeback earlier this year, Bryan has been one of the most likeable faces on the roster.

It's believed WWE didn't want to pull the trigger until they'd squeezed as much as possible from Daniel's feud with The Miz. Then, opportunity struck. McMahon was seeking something that'd help sell Survivor Series, and Bryan's turn was the perfect tonic. Finally, the wrestler had his wish, and he was turned from 80s-style good guy to panto villain.

Tuesday's SmackDown show was the end of a long road for Bryan. It had taken him months to grind Vince down and convince him that a heel turn was for the best. Though Meltzer didn't specifically reveal how long Daniel had been campaigning for, selling his boss on the change was apparently quite the saga.
