Nobody could have guessed that Kevin Owens would become WWE Universal Champ when he was plying his trade for companies like ROH and PWG several years ago. It's fair to say that Owens is an unlikely "World" champion' in WWE, and that's largely because the man doesn't have that chiselled look the company would traditionally chase.

That lack of a muscled-up frame didn't stop The Rock from recognising KO's hard work (as Kevin Steen) on the independent scene when Hollywood's highest-grossing male actor was training for a WWE return in 2012.

Find out all about The Rock's kinship with Owens in this week's article, along with a range of other startling facts and stories we didn't know last week.

Joining The Rock's tale, there are facts about the likes of Sean Waltman, Vickie Guerrero, Naomi and even WWE United Kingdom Title Tournament entrant Wolfgang. There's also an absolutely stunning story involving Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, Randy Savage and Miss. Elizabeth that will have your eyes popping out of your skull in amazement...

10. It Took Naomi Two Years To Convince WWE On 'Feel The Glow' Gimmick

Reportedly injuring her left knee whilst performing the finish to her match with Alexa Bliss at Elimination Chamber, a dejected Naomi was forced to vacate the SmackDown Women's Title earlier this week; it was Naomi's Split-Legged Moonsault that did the damage, and there are real fears she will miss WrestleMania.

Talking to Lilian Garcia for the former WWE ring announcer's 'Making Their Way To The Ring' show, the now ex-Women's Champ revealed that determination is something she's had to show more than once during her wrestling career.

Although Naomi's current 'Feel The Glow' catchphrase and rave-inspired gimmick has been catching on with audiences, it took a whopping two years for the female wrestler to convince WWE that it was the right direction to take her character.

Naomi told Garcia that her initial ideas came from watching the 1985 movie The Last Dragon. During the film, the main character goes on a lengthy personal journey to find his confidence, and that's something Naomi pitched to WWE in 2014.

It wasn't until the Summer of 2016 that WWE finally came round to the idea, even though it had been in Naomi's mind for years.
