Whilst it wasn't cool to see a hard-worked Iron Man Match between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler play before a backdrop of fans more interested in entertaining themselves, it is true that WWE's five-hour run time for Extreme Rules played a part. The live crowd, restless by the time Rollins and Ziggler hit the ring, were in a playful mood.

Their Royal Rumble-style buzzer sounds and continuous countdowns threatened to ruin the match. They nearly had Dolph tearing his hair out too, but not because he was angry at fans for rebelling. Seth Rollins dished the details on Ziggler's woes during a podcast interview this week.

Find out all about that here, along with the usual range of wrestling-related facts we didn't know last week.

10. James Ellsworth Once Thanked Matt Riddle For "Not Killing" Him

Matt Riddle
Oli Sander / The Ringside Perspective

Ex-MMA bad ass Matt Riddle could, if he wanted to, beat the living sh*t out of pretty much anyone he enters the ring with. That's certainly what was running through James Ellsworth's mind before an indy match the pair had several years ago. To Ellsworth, Riddle was terrifying.

Riddle, a laid back dude away from the ring, told this story during his appearance on Sean Waltman's X-Pac 1, 2, 360 podcast.

Before the match, he was rather shocked when several other workers approached him backstage to ask if he'd be interested in legit roughing up Ellsworth in the ring. Riddle turned their suggestions down and invited James to relax because they only had a "five minute match" and it'd be "easy".

Afterwards, Ellsworth thanked Riddle for taking care of him and admitted he'd been super-anxious beforehand. That had been obvious to Riddle anyway; James was shaking and worried looking when they were planning out spots, and it was clear he thought Matt was going to try something.
