10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Happened In 2014

Jerry Lawler threw a fireball at Scott Steiner. Von Erichs appeared in TNA. That wasn't enough...

At some intrinsic level, pro wrestling is a celebration of debacles and spectacles. Of course, that which we can consider to be spectacles can include everything from a TLC match at Wrestlemania to a sixty-minute match between Cesaro and Sami Zayn. As well, the opposite can be said regarding, that one time Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan wrestled for Impact Wrestling or any of the early matches of Jackie Gayda's WWE career. As well, sometimes what appears to be on paper as something nobody would want to see in their right mind turns out to be amazing, like any time Shark Boy and New Jack teamed in TNA, or the 2003 run of matches between CM Punk and Raven in Ring of Honor. Those matches are things that have to be seen to be believed because the component parts are so fantastically strange when put together that the idea that anything positive would result is amazing. As compared to the past, pro wrestling is far less "unbelievable" than ever before. However, here are ten times in 2014 that things happened in a wrestling ring that were cause for shock, alarm, amazement and also legitimate joy at the possibly incredible results.
