Last week, Vince McMahon made his first appearance on WWE television in eight months, confronting Roman Reigns for his attack on Triple H. Of course, we all now know that Vince's involvement backfired spectacularly, and that Reigns walked away the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion - a sequence of events that will surely leave Vince fuming. Out of character, he's probably not too happy either. 2015 has been a disastrous year for WWE in terms of TV ratings, a decline which has seen Raw slump to record lows several times over. Although a lot of the company's well-documented problems can be traced back to Vince himself, he also has a right to be damn pissed off with a lot of his employees. Workers who could well be in Vince's doghouse range from the wrestlers themselves to commentary teams, as well as those in his creative and production departments. One thing's for sure; a lot of WWE figures need to get back in McMahon's good books, and fast - or 2016 could prove an immensely tricky year...
8. Lana
Clearly, kayfabe isn't as strong a force as it once was. In the internet age, it's impossible to monitor the online activity of various WWE superstars without getting a sense of their community. Heels and babyfaces don't maintain such a distance anymore, openly travelling, working out, and socialising together. Some of them even get engaged... As dead as kayfabe is, it's easy to imagine the furore backstage when Lana posted a picture of her engagement ring on Instagram while embroiled in a feud with "ex" boyfriend Rusev. The Ravishing Russian became engaged while recovering from injury, essentially destroying a planned storyline involving her return and revenge. This didn't just scupper plans involving Rusev and Lana themselves, but also Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae, who were hastily shuffled into other storylines. As if this wasn't reason enough to upset Vince, Lana then went on to publicly accuse Paige of bullying during their time in NXT. This sparked a row involving several other figures, many of whom stepped in to defend the Brit. However true her accusations, Lana could be seen as acting in a majorly unprofessional manner for the way she handled the conflict.
