A panel anchored by safest-broadcaster-in-the-company Renee Young is thankfully the norm every month, but her placement at the front of the most important night in WWE women's wrestling history was augmented by Beth Phoenix and Paige's contextualised commentary on some of the greatest moments in a chequered past.

Guest spots weren't overplayed. Eve Torres, Carmella, R-Truth and Michael Cole all added much in their brief moments, as did the company's decision to run a red carpet as the show progressed.

The interviews had all the right beats for the inaugural and important event even if much of the content was repetitious.

Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss were again on message following their historic Abu Dhabi encounter, but so they absolutely should even if the company wants to make more about the business than the battle. Ronda Rousey spoke in and out of character for her seemingly genuine appreciation for the sense of systemic support - a concept lost to predominantly male-led professional wrestling for decades. Stephanie McMahon even dared to suggest she called Triple H "Paul" back at the homestead even if we all know they live the gimmick 24/7.

WWE were getting it all right, alright...
