10 WWE Feuds That Haven’t Yet Played Out

Turns out the company still has plenty of options in terms of new pairings going forward.

Not for the first time in recent memory, it’s been a year packed with rematches in WWE.

In the three months alone between May and August, Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal featured on a hat-trick of successive pay-per-view cards, while Kevin Owens and AJ Styles met in singles action on six occasions over the same period.

But don’t let all that rehashing give you the impression that the company’s all out of fresh ideas, because there are a fair few tricks that WWE’s movers and shakers have been keeping up their proverbial sleeves.

Case in point, Finn Bálor and AJ Styles' meeting at this past Sunday’s TLC show marked the first time in history that the pair had ever gone one-on-one in a wrestling ring. And like Bálor and Styles, there are a number of others whose paths have somehow not yet crossed, with some guys being seemingly kept apart rather deliberately…

Either way, whether intentionally or not, it means the company still has a few feuds it's yet to fully pull the trigger on—some of which we may soon see play out in the not too distant future.

10. Sami Zayn Vs. Bobby Roode

Back in August, Sami Zayn namedropped Bobby Roode as one guy he’d like to see on the main roster. Fast forward to today and low and behold, Zayn and Roode now find themselves colleagues on SmackDown brand.

Just a few months ago, this one looked like a perfect match, with the plucky underdog Zayn providing the perfect foil for the more methodical Roode. Now though, the roles have been completely reversed, with Zayn having turned heel and Roode now being cast as a firm fan favourite.

From one perspective, that makes for an interesting subplot to a possible meeting, with both guys looking to establish themselves in these new, and relatively unfamiliar, roles. Plus, another detail that only adds to the intrigue is that despite both men having been wrestling for over a decade and a half, they’d never squared off until just last week at a SmackDown house show in Argentina.

As such, a televised feud would make this one a real first—in WWE or any company.
