10 WWE Ideas So Awful Even Legends Couldn't Get Them Over

9. Booger Red

...because what the f*ck was a 'Booger Red', Jim?

Well, handily, somebody actually asked the legendary announcer that question during one of his blog Q&A sessions. He said; "What's Booger Red? A nickname that I unsuccessfully hung on the American Bad A*s Character, as I recall. Booger Red was the nickname of another red headed, bad ass from Texas, former UT linebacker and Hall-Of-Famer Tommy Nobis. If you look up 'Booger' in the dictionary, it is a southern expression meaning a frightening apparition of which Undertaker certainly is. Plus, he is naturally red headed. I thought the name worked but others didn't."

So - as was often the case with JR - it was merely a buried treasure from his other beloved passtime. Unlike the company's desperate attempts to keep the character over, he was at least amicable enough to admit that it failed, and couldn't have predicted that the tag would later be used as the title for a dark 2015 documentary about a man investigating the largest purported child sex ring in the history of Texas.

Like Undertaker's gimmick itself, 'Booger Red' was always better off dead.
