9. Goldberg Destroys Lesnar
The initial rumours of Bill Goldberg returning to WWE in late 2016 were naturally taken with a pinch of salt by many fans in the WWE Universe. The WCW icon's name had been bandied about several times in the past, particularly around WrestleMania season, and his inclusion once again around Survivor Series was nothing knew.
However, this time was different. Goldberg's involvement in the WWE 2K17 video game throughout the summer was the fuel on the fire, and the speculation proved to be well-founded when he made his return to WWE on 10 October for the first time in over 12 years.
Immediately picking up where he left off, Goldberg jumped head first into a feud with Brock Lesnar and the two were scheduled to meet at Survivor Series, in a rematch of their forgettable, regrettable abortion at WrestleMania XX. Luckily, this time round would be anything but.
When the two finally stood across the ring from each other at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the crowd was at a fever pitch. In a complete shock to everyone, the bout would last just 86 seconds, with Goldberg dominating his previously indomitable foe.
Catching his beastly opposition off-guard, Goldberg nailed Lesnar with two spears out of nowhere before laying him to rest with a Jackhammer, in one of the biggest upsets of the decade.
