10 WWE Returns We Can Expect For 2018
9. Big Cass
Big Cass looked set for a big push when he turned heel on Raw and began his solo ascent in WWE. Sadly, in a cruel twist of fate, the New York native suffered a huge setback when he tore his ACL in a "Brooklyn Street Fight" against his former partner, Enzo Amore.
After successful surgery, it was reported that Cass was expected to be out for nine months. This would leave him off TV until May, right in the middle of what is traditionally a lull in WWE programming, post-WrestleMania and pre-SummerSlam. A timely return for the seven footer would be a welcome boost for WWE during this time.
The options are wide open depending on where WWE wish to take his character; ranging from a revival of his feud with Enzo or even a reunion with Enzo as either a babyface or a heel. Meanwhile, Cass could even switch brands to reunite with his real-life girlfriend, Carmella, on SmackDown.
Perhaps WWE's best option would be for all three to come together as part of the Big Cass package. With Enzo as Cass' mouthpiece, Carmella as his active valet and Cass himself as a dominant heel, the trio could make a serious dent on SmackDown and help Cass become a believable contender for either the US or WWE Championship.
