10 WWE Stars In Vince McMahon's Doghouse Right Now

9. Tye Dillinger

In February this year, Uncle Dave provided insight into why Tye Dillinger isn't a fixture on television.

Essentially - and this is so beyond satire that it arrives back on itself, tenfold, to ring true - Vince, the man who lives to "put smiles on faces" and "send the fans home happy", loathes the sight and sound of his WWE Universe engaging with a Tye Dillinger character he could ruthlessly monetise. He elects not to because, and please start watching joshi or something because it means we can justifiably produce uplifting content not related to WWE, he doesn't want us to have our fun, our way.

If this seems absurdly cynical, consider the rapid clip at which Greg Hamilton races through his ring introductions. He doesn't want us to chant "One fall!" He doesn't want us to engage with our ideal version of the product; he wants to dictate his. Consider also Dillinger's Cagematch listing. The man has wrestled on TV just once since WrestleMania 34, and just six times in total in 2018. Dillinger is brilliant in the heater role, too, and WWE exists to heat heels, but nuts to all that. You will scramble your brain just thinking about it. You will be rendered a slavering mess capable of saying just one word you're not permitted to.

Dillinger developed in the notoriously awful Deep South Wrestling feeder league, during which time his career prospects were less bleak.
