10 WWE Stars Who Always Guaranteed You A Great Match

Sometimes, you just know when to expect quality.

Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H often use a similar reasoning when they explain to people just why they feel WWE is in a league of its own, not facing direct competition from things like the UFC, boxing, or any other "combat sports". They say that, with the other sports, you aren't guaranteed anything. The UFC can promote the biggest and baddest fight of all-time, but it could be over in 10 seconds, "stealing" your money. Boxing can put two of the most skilled fighters in the ring together, but it could be a snoozefest, full of missed punches, stall tactics, and clenching. They say that WWE always delivers on pay-per-views, or even on television. You know you're going to get a full two or three-hour show with WWE. You know the big matches are going to be promoted like crazy and still give you lengthy action. It's one of their key selling points. What is "guaranteed" in wrestling, though? Not much, if you really stop and think about it. However, there is a small group of people who you can truly count on. Those people can get in a wrestling ring, night in and night out, to give you their version of greatness. It matters not who they're facing, or what type of match they're competing in... if you put them in a match, you know you're about to see quality. The caveat, of course, is that we're talking about these men in their primes. We're not talking about people hanging on for too long, competing in matches in their 50's that nowhere near resembled the quality of matches from when they were in their 20's. Remember that as we move on.
