10 WWE Stars Who Were Worthless Intercontinental Champions

Not every IC champion was elevated to the next level.

The Intercontinental Championship has a very long, very rich history in WWE. Many legends and icons of professional wrestling have at one point in time held the IC title, and many would say that some of the best matches ever in WWE were Intercontinental Championship matches. Guys like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart The Rock, Triple H, Steve Austin, all went on to have amazing careers after winning the IC title, and whenever a next generation Superstar wins the IC title, you can expect big things to come his way. You see, while many WWE superstars managed to improve their careers thanks to the IC title, there are also a bunch of wrestlers who, for various reasons, never found themselves in the spotlight after winning the title. These guys became nothing more than glorified transitional champions; placeholders for the belt until a more worthy champion came in and took it from them. While attempts were made at making some of these guys the next big thing in professional wrestling, others had no chance whatsoever. While their names will be forever etched on the list of former IC Champions, don€™t expect them to be remembered for their reigns. These ten superstars were the most worthless Intercontinental Champions of all time.
