10 WWE Superstars In Dire Need Of New Finishers

For these men and women, when it comes to finishers, 'ENOUGH'S ENOUGH AND IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!'.

The most important maneuver in every pro wrestler’s arsenal is their finisher. It’s the most important tool in distinguishing them from their peers, and it’s a great way to determine how skilled those wrestlers are in the ring. Some wrestlers use a simple striking attack to end their matches, while others use a submission hold, and others still choose a kind of unique grappling move.

However, in WWE, there are some people who lack a finisher or signature move that compliments their skill level. In fact, these Superstars and Divas have finishers that either don’t fit their wrestling style, or simply don’t look good being executed by that particular individual.

This article will present ten WWE Superstars and Divas who are in desperate need of new finishers or signature moves. With WWE’s matches, for the most part, being on the shorter side where only these moves actually matter, it’s crucial for these wrestlers to have the right moves that fit them better than the ones they currently possess.

As a result, this article will also propose a new or alternative finisher for these same wrestlers. These suggestions will be based on how (in) effective these wrestlers’ current maneuvers are, as well as whether they really fit with that Superstar’s overall presentation.

All ten of these individuals lack that one key aspect of their overall wrestling persona needed to grab Vince McMahon’s proverbial brass rings. Should these finisher changes actually get implemented, all of them would experience greater success in WWE.

10. Becky Lynch

Current Finisher: Dis-Arm-Er

Despite being much more experienced than the other Horsewomen, she’s arguably the least ‘flashy’ in terms of appearance and move-set. This holds especially true for her finishing move, the Dis-Arm-Er, which is nothing more than a Fujiwara armbar, the kind of ‘rest-hold’ used by many other WWE Superstars.

Not only does the move look uninspiring when compared to the submission holds of her fellow NXT alumni, but even by most WWE standards it doesn’t look impressive, either. If Becky’s to be taken seriously, she needs a maneuver that actually looks like it really hurts.

Suggested New Finisher: Rings of Saturn

Now we’re talking.

Perry Saturn’s scissored armbar is the perfect finisher for Becky Lynch not just because it’s unique and continues her theme of targeting her opponents' arms, but also because it’s actually more dangerous than any other submission hold seen on WWE programming.

This is because, a) it targets the shoulders, which are vital for pro wrestlers to land safely and for executing many maneuvers; and b) having both shoulders pressed against another person’s body while being forced onto one’s side can cause problems breathing.

In other words, it can cause real pain and anguish, which would make it a perfect tool for Becky to elevate herself even further while on the main roster. This is especially important, as she now has to deal with greater competition from more women for screen time, and her finisher would be a great tool to help her distinguish herself.
