10 WWE Superstars John Cena Has ALREADY Ruined Since Going Part-Time

Just as they did with spiritual grandfather Hulk Hogan, John Cena's entrance theme lyrics have proved his ultimate undoing.

'The Hulkster' fighting for the 'rights of every man' was exposed as an almighty fib as early as 1990 when he gobbled up the Ultimate Warrior's heat at WrestleMania 6. It didn't take an unashamedly rotten Twitter game and some grossly misguided remarks to realise Double H didn't ever feel that 'strong about wright and wrong'.

Cena's braggadocios 'The Time Is Now' ditty was designed with the 2005 model in mind. Alongside Dave Batista, the white rapper was about to begin the long transition to 'Big Match John' via extended periods as 'The Champ'.

But Big Dave courted hollywood long before his dayglo peer. Batista's majestic 2010 heel turn highlighted his range. Any future returns to the ring from that point were for his own fun, not for legacy or currency.

Cena once inferred that 'A man is measured by the way that he thinks, not clothing lines, ice links, leather and minks', but try telling that to the sterile 2017 vintage.

With the silver screen his new gold medallion, 'The Champ' has succumbed to the luxuries most wrestlers crave away from the grind of the industry. Unfortunately, his limited contributions to WWE have been as creatively damaging as his cinematic choices.

It's a shame too. He was on show-stealing form with his minor role in Amy Schumer's 'Trainwreck'. If only her ex-boyfriend and his colleagues were afforded some of that on-screen selflessness these days...

10. Baron Corbin

Allegedly, all it took was John Cena's say-so (or, say-no) to confirm Vince McMahon's fears that Baron Corbin wasn't ready for the spot he'd awkwardly been thrust into by virtue of his 2017 Money In The Bank victory.

Having feuded with 'The Lone Wolf' to fill time in the run-up to their SummerSlam clash, Cena's assessment of his work was damning enough to convince the chairman to make his certain title victory just another victim to Jinder Mahal's reign of error.

Unfortunately for Corbin, Cena elected to air his grievances publicly too, with a politically fatal takedown of the NXT graduate on the SummerSlam opener.

Having suffered the most embarrassing cash-in loss so far, Baron at least had a modicum of momentum from fans chanting 'Where's Your Briefcase?' Cena outright stole them, instead playing literal conductor with the audience as they morphed into the usual 'Let's Go Cena/Cena Sucks' routine. Either side of this, the entire contest was designed to make Corbin look somehow even more of a buffoon than he had during his ill-fated charge at Jinder.

Currently US Champion, Corbin's road back is exponentially harder than it should be thanks to the demeaning destruction.
