10 WWE Superstars Who Deserve A Major Push After SummerSlam 2018

It is finally time for these guys to shine...

Whether you were a fan of it or not, it's hard to deny that SummerSlam was a real game-changer. With some major title changes, refreshingly well-paced matches and a lot of unfinished business, it certainly looks like WWE is set for a major shake-up as we head into the fall. However, it's important that things actually do change, and that we're not left wondering where it all went wrong by the end of the year.

Without WrestleMania or SummerSlam to look forward to, the third quarter is a notoriously difficult time for WWE as it is hampered with less important PPVs and inevitably low ratings - though there are some major changes that the company can still make in an attempt to prevent this.

If we learned anything from SummerSlam, it's that the WWE roster is packed full of incredible talent. So, it's time that the creative team relied on all of this talent to help them see out the rest of the year in style. While some of these superstars showed promise at 'The Biggest Party of the Summer', others were left out in the cold — and it's time that they get the spotlight they deserve.

10. Drew McIntyre

Much like the returning Dean Ambrose, Drew McIntyre served his purpose beautifully at SummerSlam. While it is great to see him making his presence felt in the upper midcard matches, it would be even better if he was actually involved in them from time-to-time.

After his previous 'Chosen One' gimmick never really took off, it does make sense that WWE has decided to slowly build him into a star this time around. So, while we shouldn't expect any major title matches in his immediate future, it would be nice to see him at least featured in singles competition on a PPV going forward.

He's an imposing figure and would benefit from being more than just Dolph Ziggler's 'Scottish Psychopath'.
