Cutting to the chase, will Dolph Ziggler ever become a regular name in WWE's main event scene? Right now, it doesn't look like it, and he's being used as a tool to enhance the recently-promoted Baron Corbin on television.
It's a frustrating fact of life for Ziggler; he's the kind of guy management view as perfect to bump around for those they wish to elevate.
Previously, Dolph was being used in a short feud with Tyler Breeze. Once that was scrapped, there didn't seem to be much direction for him. Making matters even more perplexing for Ziggler, he excels each and every time he enters the ring. It's incredibly rare for him to have what you would call a 'bad' match.
Despite this, he just can't seem to break through that that fabled glass ceiling. The guy can wrestle rings around most others, he's decent on the microphone and has popularity with fans.
Even so, it appears his chances of ever being the top star many want him to be have faded. That must be unbelievably frustrating.
