Kurt Angle, not the only WWE superstar to recover from a "broken freakin' neck."

As is oftentimes stated, pro wrestling damned sure isn't ballet. Wrestlers are oftentimes injured, sometimes to the level where the idea that they will ever return to the ring being placed into doubt. Insofar as WWE's history, from the mid-70s onward there have been some truly incredible cases of talents having their careers imperiled, only to make miraculous recoveries. There are famous cases on this list like Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin, two of the greatest combatants in WWE history who suffered injuries deemed at first so severe that their futures were immediately placed in doubt. Much of this stems from the fact that we can directly point to the moment that Michaels boke his back and that Austin had his neck broken, too. As well, there are those that have one moment end up as the bump that takes an injury over the line, performers like Edge and Kurt Angle definitely counted in that number. Overall, these stories aren't just memories of banged up old grapplers, but in some cases, their most miraculous stories of perseverance and amazing success.
