Despite his high level of popularity with fans, Rusev has yet to receive a substantial push of any kind since debuting his "Rusev Day" catchphrase late last year. He is easily among the WWE's hottest acts right now, but it doesn't look like the company has any plans to capitalize on how over he is with the audience any time soon (because let's face it, he's not winning Money in the Bank).

Rusev may not be the best wrestler inside the ring, but he is certainly capable of contesting good matches. Thus, he would have no problem finding success in Lucha Underground, which has almost become a home for former WWE talent who were never truly given a chance to shine.

The same can be said for Sami Callihan, better known to WWE/NXT fans as Solomon Crowe. He had all the talent in the world at the time he was under contract to NXT, but after seeing the writing on the wall and realizing management wasn't going to get behind him, he took off and resurfaced in Lucha Underground soon after. Rechristened as Jeremiah Crane, he has been a revelation in The Temple.

Eventually, Rusev should follow in his footsteps. I hear it's Rusev Day at The Temple every day...
