Once the dust settles from WrestleMania 33, what should WWE fans be looking forward to?

WrestleMania is a wrestling fan's Christmas, there is no doubting that. It is also, however, the one night of the year when Vinny Mac's product goes mainstream, bringing in audiences that far exceed the average PPV.

Unlike the swathes of non-wrestling fans that WWE seeks to impress, diehard viewers often try to look past the spectacle and the grandeur for something more meaningful. Be it an underdog seeking 'Mania glory, the culmination of an age-old feud, or a dream match between industry icons, most wrestling fans are struggling to find significance with much of WrestleMania 33's card. Sure, Lesnar/Goldberg III might be fun, and Styles/Shane O'Mac could produce some cool moments, but 'Mania is no longer for the wrestling fans, and more for the rest of the world.

Even though we'll all find something to enjoy in Orlando, it doesn't hurt to start looking beyond April 2nd at how the new wrestling year will begin.

Be it new WWE storylines or events outside of the company, there is plenty for the hardcore wrestling fan to be excited about post-WrestleMania.

10. Lesnar As Universal Champion

If you are one of the many fans who find it hard watching Goldberg struggle through a match, you'll want to see Lesnar/Goldberg III end in quick fashion. That will mean, in all liklihood, that Brock Lesnar walks out of WrestleMania 33 as the Universal Champion.

This prospect fails to enthuse a lot of WWE fans, especially with the rumoured build towards a Reigns victory over Lesnar at WM34. But we cannot afford to be pessimistic, as a lot can change in a year. Lesnar came out of his streak-conquering at WM30 with as much strength as almost any superstar in recent history, going on to squash John Cena at Summerslam. What followed was a part-time run as champion, where Lesnar would only appear at certain events to defend the title. It wasn't ideal, but it did produce some classics with Rollins, Cena and Reigns.

Leaving Orlando as champion of the Raw brand, Lesnar will have a bevy of new talent to work with, including Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman.

It may be on an irregular basis, but you can be sure The Beast will produce a few more classics as Universal Champion.
