Alexa Bliss jumping straight from NXT - where she spent much of her time as a valet - to a leading role in the SmackDown women's division was controversial for some fans, with one or two even going so far as to suggest that it signaled the end of WWE's Women's Revolution.

But they really couldn't have been more wrong. Bliss has proved herself an invaluable addition to the main roster, having scarcely been away from title competition on one of the two brands since making the step up from the developmental ranks last year.

Her Payback match with Bayley, in particular, was evidence that her ability in the ring - albeit a couple of notches below the likes of Chalotte and Sasha - can't seriously be likened to the WWE "divas" of yesteryear.
