10 WWE Wrestlers Who Need A Reset

Time for a fresh start.

Pushing the reset button when things get tough is an option not afforded to the cast of WWE.

Like some of us, though, many of them could use it, particularly those whose time on the main roster has been soured by short-term booking and the fan-led negativity that often follows the failure to live up to lofty expectations.

The closest we have got to a reset in recent years is perhaps reigning NXT Champ Drew McIntyre, who departed WWE in 2014 after a stagnant spell in the mid-card, only to return - as recently as April - a fully-formed superstar, parachuted straight to the top of the development division.

His fellow Brit, Neville - who is said to have walked out on the company himself earlier this month - could be set for a similar journey over the next couple of years (although, having departed in reported acrimony, we probably shouldn't hold our breath).

If you could push the reset button on any current employees, though, who would you choose? And, to be clear, you can't go picking 25-year-old Undertaker or Triple H; they have to come back at their current age and physical condition, the only difference being that their WWE past has been completely erased.

10. Alicia Fox

The longest-serving female wrestler on the WWE books, Alicia Fox has steadily grown into a performer of some respectable in-ring pedigree (which is no mean feat when you consider that her life on the main roster began, inauspiciously, with a stint as Edge and Vickie Guerrero's double-crossing wedding planner).

Despite her ability, though, Fox has been an after-thought in the now-stacked women's divisions for some time, burdened by the years she spent honing her craft on the job - which has, rather unfairly, left her with a patchy reputation among fans.

Plus: WWE, like its audience, is prone to forgetting about "old" (incredibly, the Raw star - having spent nearly a decade on our screens - is still a relatively young 31) stars the second shiny new ones are brought up from the developmental ranks.

Debuting today, with her current level of ability - and, counter-intuitively, less of the name recognition - you imagine that Fox could have a much bigger say in the fate of the Raw Women's Championship.
